Alert™ from being part of PcVue Solutions can be interfaced very easily with PcVue through a dedicated interface (mediator) as well as with other industrial SCADA, using DDE or OPCProtocol. It operates under Windows 2000 Pro, Server 2003 or XP Pro.

Alert circulates information using the latest modern technology media:

  • Telephone (fixed or mobile).
Operators are called by telephone, can listen to alarms and acknowledge them, through the integrated vocal server.
  • Short messages (SMS), public paging systems to alert operators working off site by the mean off their handy or pager.
  • On-site paging systems to quickly alert maintenance operators working on site.
  • Fax, tele-printer, email to receive written reports on detected alarms and their context.
  • Internet browser, WAP mobile phone.
Operators receiving notification can acknowledge, messages.
Alert
will then record and manage acknowledgement from operators.

User management
Alert manages a file of 1 up to 999 operators. An operator can temporarily be put off-duty, with or without a designated substitute.

Groups and teams
All operators likely to intervene in order to deal with a category of alarms constitute an on-call group. Each group consists of teams. Each team designates an operator or a list of operators to be called simultaneously or by rotation.

Schedules
Each on-call group has an associated schedule which defines the team allocation for a group over the course of one year. The schedule is graphically configurable.

Redundancy
Alert
supports redundancy of servers. You can have redundant data source (i.e. redundant PcVue) abd redondant Alert Notification servers. One Alert  Station is then disabled for calls until the duty station fails.
